![]() Thursday June 25, 2009 was a terrible day for American icons. Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, died suddenly yesterday with the reasons forthcoming later today after the autopsy. Michael Jackson rise to super stardom early in his career as the breakout star of the Jackson 5, a group comprised of his syblings. Leaving the group around age 20, he rocketed to solo fame and worldwide stardom with hits like "Billie Jean," "Thriller," and "We Are the World." Plagued by controversy, bizarre behavior, and incredibly unsavory rumors and accussations; Michael Jackson had become a recluse but was planning a 50 concert come back/farewell tour to cap off his incredible career. Apparently, debts piling into the hundreds of millions haunted Michael, and forced him into this latest move. Alas, the world will never know and it lost a true music and dance legend. Maybe now, finally, the truth will come out about all the mystery and strangeness surrounding this man. ![]() Farrah Fawcett also passed yesterday finally losing her battle to cancer at about 9:30AM with Ryan O'Neil by her side. In her final days, she lived a very public battle with her illness and even made a movie in the hopes others could be helped by her story. Sadly, despite recent announcements, Ryan O'Neil and Farrah did not have the opportunity to marry before her death after all these years - they have been together since 1979. Her courageous battle won't soon be forgotten, but I think I will just prefer to remember her as she was. Michael Jackson too - before all the weirdness. Views: 15 • Comments: 0 • Write comments |
